Heart Experiment

What a fantastic morning. D3 spent Friday morning creating working model hearts. The model hearts demonstrated the 4 chambers of the hearts, valves & arteries. Mrs Martin taught us that the blue blood represented the deoxygenated blood ready to be pumped to the lungs and the red blood was the oxygenated blood to be pumped around the body. We developed an understanding that our heart does not "beat out, but squeezes in" (Caleb) to move the blood between the chambers and around the body.

During this week D3 have also discussed that God created our hearts for more than just pumping blood around our bodies, there is also a special spiritual side to our hearts that we can't see.

Matthew 16:7b For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

There are many scriptures regarding the heart in the Bible, if you have any special scriptures about the heart and would like to share them with us and why they are important to you please leave us a comment.
